Successful/Failure Cases of Reintegration in Nepal
Introduction: My name is Bhim Prasad Sapkota, and I am currently residing in Kathmandu-10, Shankhamul, Nepal. You can reach me at my email address, bhimprasadsapkota911@gmail.com, or on my phone at +9779806393911. I departed from Nepal in 2018 and returned in 2023. At present, I find myself unemployed, navigating the challenges of reintegration into a society facing economic uncertainties. This essay will explore my journey and experiences, shedding light on the nuances of employment and entrepreneurship in Nepal.
Initiation of Work or Business: Upon my return to Nepal in 2023, I found myself in a job market constrained by various factors. The impact of the economic situation, coupled with the ongoing pandemic, made securing a job in a private company a daunting task. Despite these challenges, my aspiration is to contribute to the economic development of Nepal.
Procedures, Funding, Business Scale, and Current Income: In the prevailing
circumstances, initiating a business with a small investment faces considerable
obstacles. The economic landscape, heavily reliant on remittances from Nepalese
citizens working abroad, has led to an import-oriented economy. This situation
has made it challenging for local businesses to thrive and generate sufficient
income.
The high cost of living in urban areas, such as Kathmandu, further exacerbates the struggle for survival. Securing employment in private companies, if available, often yields insufficient income to cover basic necessities like rent and food. This financial strain restricts the possibility of venturing into entrepreneurial endeavors.
Challenges and Advantages in Employment and
Entrepreneurship: The primary challenge lies in the economic disparity and
import dependence, leaving limited room for local businesses to flourish. The
current state of corruption within the government and private sectors
exacerbates the difficulties faced by individuals seeking employment or
entrepreneurial opportunities.
On the positive side, Nepal's resilient workforce and its untapped potential present an opportunity for growth. Moreover, the experience gained from working abroad can serve as a valuable asset, contributing to skill development and a broader perspective in approaching challenges.
Future Plans and Aspirations: Considering the hurdles encountered so far, my future plan is to seek employment abroad once again, with the aim of accumulating sufficient resources to invest in small businesses upon my return. I envision contributing to the economic development of Nepal, creating opportunities for others, and ultimately settling in my homeland.
Success and Failure: As of now, I do not perceive myself as successful. The intricate web of economic challenges, limited employment opportunities, and hurdles in establishing a business in Nepal have been formidable. However, I remain hopeful that my journey, though marked by setbacks, will ultimately contribute to the larger narrative of successful reintegration in the country.
In conclusion, the contest for successful failure cases of
reintegration in Nepal reflects the complex dynamics individuals face upon
their return to their homeland. My personal journey underscores the need for
comprehensive support systems, both from the government and the private sector,
to facilitate successful reintegration and contribute to the economic growth of
the nation. If anyone is willing to extend support through investment or
provide a platform for employment, it would be a welcome opportunity in this ongoing quest for success in
the face of adversity.
